“  ?  ”,   Carpet

Old photo from Rij Rousseau. On the back  she wrote: ”International exhibition in 1929. Gold medal. Tapis points d’Aubusson executee”

We don’t know where the carpet is now.

“La ville”   carpet

Old photo from Rij Rousseau. On the back she wrote: “Tapis points d’Aubusson executee, Exposition Internationale, medaille d’or”.

She means the international exhibition for decorative art in Paris 1925, where she awarded a gold medal.

The painting “La ville” was shown on the exhibition in the castle of Blois in 1959 and is reproduced in the catalogue.

On the back there is a shield with the handwriting of the artist: “not to sell”.

This carpet was shown on the exhibition in the castle of Blois in 1959.
